Suzy Ann Thompson, M.D., FAAP
Board Certified in Pediatrics
Dr. Suzy attended both the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and UNC at Chapel Hill and at the University of California San Francisco, has been both an associate and instructor. Her clinical experience ranges from the nurseries at the University of California San Francisco to private practices and has been licensed in California, Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. and is both Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. A member of the Northern Virginia Pediatric Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Suzy may joke that she was a very accident prone child and spent plenty of time in emergency rooms, but it was the care and skill of the doctors and nurses there that inspired her to make medicine her career.
A member of the Northern Virginia Pediatrics Society, Dr. Suzy has an interest in behavioral issues, twins (and all multiples), and she has fraternal twin boys herself! This interest in twins has led her to helping with the San Francisco Mother of Twins Club during her time in California. When she’s not caring for the children of Farrell Pediatrics, Dr. Suzy enjoys playing with her children, skiing, yoga, cooking and reading. She roots for the North Carolina Tar Heels, loves The Princess Bride and has a sweet tooth for chocolate, but most of all she loves keeping the kids of Farrell Pediatrics happy and healthy!
